We’ve come so far on our journey—from an idea in January 2018, to our capital campaign, renovating the former Good Samaritan Nursing Home and opening our doors in May 2021.
Stick Creek Kids (SCK) lifts up the entire community, not just the families who need childcare today. Solving the critical childcare shortage also benefits employers who need to attract and retain employees, keeping them on the job. It makes Wood River and the surrounding region a more desirable place to live and raise a family. It increases demand for housing in the area, which strengthens home values and spurs residential construction. We support children in their most critical years to develop into their best selves, as they are nurtured in a space that focuses on their social, emotional and developmental needs.
